| WELCOME to the
ALASKA HOME INSPECTORS FORUM |
|
Our
Forum has lots of discussions
on issues concerning the construction and condition of houses and other buildings in Alaska. The licensed Alaska Home Inspectors,
Energy Raters and other members of this forum are available to answer questions
about buildings and building science
including the condition of buildings, what to expect from a home inspection
or energy rating, how to maintain a home, building safety and energy efficiency.
This site was developed and is partially sponsored by the Alaska Chapter of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). The Alaska ASHI Chapter holds its
monthly meetings on the 2nd Thursday at 9:00am at Jitters Coffee house in Eagle River Mall, 11401 Old Glenn Hwy.
Anyone interested is welcome to attend. Please RSVP to Jim Foss, President @ 522-2378
or email
Jim Foss if you would like to attend. Check the site calendar for updates. |

SO.....WHAT is a HOME INSPECTOR?
Alaska Home Inspectors are private, professional inspectors licensed
by the State of Alaska to perform visual, non-invasive inspections
of houses. These inspections are usually performed to inform a
client who is buying a house on the condition of the house.
This information can then be used to determine if there are repairs
that the client wants to be repaired before or after the real estate
closing. Inspections are also performed for sellers wishing to
prepare their homes for sale and for home owners wishing to keep
their homes in top repair. |
